How ads appear on isithalal.food without changing editorial verdicts

Last updated 12 August 2026

Editorial first

isithalal.food publishes sourced Halal-status research—food pages, guides, and the on-device ingredient scanner. Ads may help keep that core service free. They do not set page verdicts, rewrite conditions, or override named sources.

Standards for ads we allow

  • Clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
  • Relevant and non-intrusive; no pop-ups or deliberately disruptive formats.
  • Compliant with applicable law and ordinary advertising standards.
  • Respectful of Islamic food ethics: we work to avoid ads that clearly promote Haram products or services.

Formats

We may use display (banner) ads and, where relevant, contextual affiliate links. An ad or affiliate placement is not a Halal certificate, endorsement, or substitute for reading the food page Sources block.

Advertiser responsibility

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy of their creatives. Presence on isithalal.food does not mean the Editorial Team audited or certified the advertised product.

Report an ad

If an ad looks inappropriate, misleading, or clearly Haram, use the contact form (topic “Advertising”). Include where you saw it and what was wrong. We review reports and act when needed.

Changes

This policy may change as formats or partners change. The “Last updated” date marks the current version.
