Country-level Halal scope for a small set of chains (KFC, McDonald’s, Subway, Nando’s). Not a store-count database.
- McDonald's McDonald’s Halal status is country-level: JAKIM recognition in Malaysia versus operator FAQs stating UK restaurants do not offer Halal-certified meat. Not a global yes.
- KFC KFC Halal scope by country: JAKIM-audited Malaysian operations versus a UK mix of HFA-accredited restaurants found only via KFC’s own Halal finder — this site does not invent a UK outlet count.
- Subway Subway Halal scope: Australia’s operator FAQ says restaurants are not Halal-certified; the UK lists Halal-labelled meats for participating stores; Malaysia sits under JAKIM premise checks.
- Nando's Nando’s UK publishes restaurants that serve 100% Halal-certified chicken (chicken-only programme, not a chain-wide Halal restaurant). Nando’s US states none of its US restaurants serve Halal chicken.
