Why it is Haram
Meat is Halal only when the animal is slaughtered Islamically: by a Muslim (or, in the view of most scholars, a Jew or Christian), with Allah's name, cutting the throat. Miller & Carter does not claim that for any of its meals, and says plainly that none is prepared or cooked to a Halal standard, so there is nothing left to verify.

not Halal, per Miller & Carter
Why this ruling
Miller & Carter is a UK steakhouse chain with restaurants across the country. Its own FAQ answers the Halal question directly.
What Miller & Carter says
Under "Is the Meat Halal Certified?", Miller & Carter explains that its suppliers, mostly in the UK and Ireland with some abroad, follow welfare standards that require all animals to be stunned before slaughter. It then says: "None of the meals on our menus are prepared or cooked to a Halal standard."[1] That covers the steaks and every other meat dish, in every restaurant.
If you want steak and eat only Halal meat, look for a restaurant with a current Halal certificate that names its certifier. For another UK steak chain that says the same, see Flat Iron; for what makes beef Halal, see beef and steak.
How to verify
Check labels carefully for alternate names or derivatives linked to miller & Carter, and choose clearly Halal or plant-based alternatives instead.
Quick checks
- No meal prepared or cooked to a Halal standard.
- Applies at every restaurant.
- Choose a certified steakhouse instead.
