Why this ruling
Bleecker is a London burger chain. It answers the Halal question on a page of its own, site by site.
Which sites serve Halal beef
Bleecker says its Westfield, Baker Street, Soho, Victoria and Camden sites serve burgers made with Halal-certified beef from its butcher, Aubrey Allen. "In all other sites, the beef is not halal." It gives the reason: it cannot get enough Halal beef for every site, and chose these five from customer requests.[1]
What it says about the kitchen
None of the sites is fully Halal: they also serve bacon and alcohol. Bacon is cooked on the grill before service; then the grill is shut down, cleaned and sanitised, and "no bacon is cooked again for the rest of the day". During service only Halal beef goes on the grill, with dedicated utensils. All Bleecker beef, Halal included, is stunned before slaughter.[1]
The certificates
The certificate file Bleecker links holds four documents, all for abattoirs and meat suppliers: a Halal Quality Control confirmation for Foyle Food Group's beef sites, valid to 31 October 2026; an HCO certificate for Woolley Brothers in Sheffield, with no date legible; a certificate J.A. Jewitt (Meat) Ltd issued itself, stamped by the Abu Bakr Mosque in Middlesbrough, valid to 17 November 2026; and a Halal Monitoring Board certificate for Alec Jarrett Ltd in Bristol, valid to 30 September 2027.[2] None of them names Aubrey Allen or Bleecker, so the file does not show which supplier's beef is on your plate. That is why this page says Halal if verified: go to one of the five sites and ask which certificate covers the beef that day.

Scholarly view
A certificate for the beef answers the slaughter question only for the sites that use that beef, and only while it is current. Bleecker's beef is stunned before slaughter; some Muslims accept meat from stunned animals and others do not.
Its Halal sites also cook bacon on the same grill before service, which some diners will want to avoid even after cleaning.
