Why this ruling
Palm oil is pressed from the fruit of the oil palm. It is a plant fat and Halal. Sustainability debates are ethical/environmental, not a fiqh reclassification to Haram. Finished products that use palm oil (spreads, biscuits, instant noodles) still need their own ingredient checks.
Palm oil is a tropical plant oil widely used for frying stability and creamy spreads. Halal is the default. Critiques of plantation practice do not turn the oil into pork fat.
When palm oil appears in Nutella or biscuits, judge milk powders, emulsifiers and flavours on those product pages.
