Why this ruling
Brigadeiros are Brazil's party sweet: a thick fudge of sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder and butter, cooked in a pan until it pulls away from the bottom, rolled into small balls and coated in chocolate sprinkles (granulado). No Brazilian birthday is complete without a tray of them in little paper cups.[2] The story usually told is that they were named after Brigadier Eduardo Gomes, whose supporters sold them during his 1945 presidential campaign.[1]
