Cyprus meze culture mixes grilling, halloumi, Easter cheese breads, and honey sweets. Halloumi is rennet-conditional; sheftalia is traditionally pork and Haram; souvlaki and kleftiko need Halal slaughter; loukoumades are fryer- and syrup-conditional.
